The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is a game developed by Nintendo EAD Group No. 3 and released by Nintendo, exclusive to the Wii U console starting September 20, 2013 in digital format in the North American region. For the distribution of games in physical form, the new Wind Waker HD is available in Japan starting September 26, 2013, North America and Europe on October 4, 2013 while for the Australian region on October 5, 2013.
When playing The Wind Waker HD, gamers will use Link, a distinctive character as well as the main role of The Legend of Zelda series. Gameplay on The Wind Waker HD is the same as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on the GameCube console. In a way, The Wind Waker HD is a remake of the previous Wind Waker. What's special about the HD version? In the HD version, there are large modifications from the display side on the big screen (1080p high-definition) and there are some features added by Nintendo to provide a unique experience for Wii U gamers.
